McCallie Golf Camp is for current players who want to improve their golf game as well as for beginners.

The beginning of the week will consist of some play and various clinics – such as short game (putting, sand play, and chipping), rules and etiquette, and course management. Various clinics will help players to hone-in on some new-found skills. We will be playing approximately 36 holes depending on the weather’s cooperation. We utilize a variety of courses each summer depending on availability. We will also be taking full advantage of McCallie’s indoor golf facility (9,000 sq. ft.) which features three TrackMan performance launch monitors, hitting bays, chipping and putting greens.  In addition, the indoor golf facility has a new state of the art Simulator.  This will allow the students to play more rounds of golf and receive instant technical data for their game improvement. McCallie's PGA professional and Director of Golf, Rob Riddle will be the lead instructor to make this week that much more rewarding.

Camp staff will be present at the SAC Rotunda at 8:00 a.m. to check you in on the first day of camp. You should plan to arrive anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. We will start the formal camp at 9:00 a.m.

Our schedule for the week and the camp director’s cell phone number will be given to each parent upon Monday registration. Part of Monday morning will be on campus, but the majority of our time will be spent off site.

Lunch will be provided each day and your camper should bring money only if they want some extra snacks when we return to campus in the afternoon ($3 a day should be fine). We will provide enough fluids to keep your child hydrated throughout the day. It will be warm and sunny so make sure to bring sunscreen (Sunscreen stick is preferred so the hands don’t get slick). We look forward to helping develop your child’s golf skills.

We have the option for Golf campers to swim after their day. Free swim in the McCallie “Lake” usually runs from 3:30-4:00. We don’t always get back in time, but they can swim if there is enough time. Send campers with swim suits and towels!

Camp enrollment is limited so register early.

What to Bring (or wear):

    •
  • Golf clubs (consisting at least of PW, 9, 7, 5, and 3 irons, 3 wood, driver and putter)
  • Golf balls (Any kind that you prefer will be fine. I suggest a hard cover ball if you are a beginner.)

All McCallie Summer Camps begin at 9:00 am with Early Drop Off between 8:00 am and 9:00 am for no extra charge. No campers should ever be dropped off before 8:00 am or picked up after 5:00 pm.
