We have three goals for you during the camp. First, we want you to have fun. Second, we want you to learn good football fundamentals. Third, we want you to learn unselfishness as a member of a team. To achieve these goals, we will focus on learning how to pass, catch, kick, and run with the football.

Also, we will learn the proper techniques of blocking and tackling as well as the basics of good conditioning. We will have competitions during the late morning. Campers will be able to participate in flag football, punt-pass-kick competitions, and other football-related games.

McCallie Football Camp, Sessions 1 & 2 will teach the fundamentals and techniques of the game and emphasize teamwork and sportsmanship. Sessions 1 & 2 are non-padded, lower impact camps. The camp will be directed by Head Football Coach Ralph Potter, assisted by varsity coaches and current players. The camp will emphasize fundamental techniques and skill development drills for every position.  Competitions such as 1-on-1, and punt, pass, and kick will also be held.  There will be a time each day for scrimmages and touch football games.

In Session 3, the McCallie padded football camp will give young players a chance to prepare for their youth league season or to get a taste of real contact football. Head Coach Ralph Potter and the varsity McCallie staff along with current players will present the proper fundamentals of padded football. Blocking and tackling are the fundamental skills that must be mastered to ensure not only success but safety. Our goal will be to give each young man confidence in himself as he enters the season. In addition to blocking and tackling, other fundamental skills will be taught.
