Soccer Boarding Camp

Soccer Boarding Camp packs plenty of soccer fun and learning into one week. The aim of this camp is to develop basic technical and tactical abilities which will enable the individual player to become more versatile. Various small-sided games allow players to learn and practice skills in the context of the game which makes learning fun and realistic. Players will be grouped by age and ability so that the individual player receives appropriate challenges.

Boys come from throughout the southeast to participate in this camp. Staff is made up of current and former McCallie players as well as collegiate and semi-pro players from around the country. Time is structured and the boys are always supervised. Director Chris Cushenbery and his assistant stay in the dorm with players.

About the Director: Chris Cushenberry

McCallie soccer has been awarded the NSCAA National Team Academic Award 14 times which ranks among the top 10 in the nation and is best all-time in the state of Tennessee.

But the soccer program strives to be about more than trophies and honors. The overarching sense of purpose for the young men in this program is to “make McCallie the best place in the country to play high school soccer.” Rather than a focus on winning, the team strives to create the best environment for players to grow both on the field and as men.
